Tomos focuses on the music

A student photographer had the very best view in the house for a series of gigs at Northampton’s famous Roadmender venue.

The University of Northampton’s Popular Music students took over the Roadmender for a three-night run earlier this term, and Tomos Griffiths was there to document the concerts.

The second-year Photography student said: “He said: “This is my second year of shooting the Popular Music performances, and it was as amazing as last year. It’s truly inspiring to see new talent in the Northampton music and arts scene.

“Shooting events such as these and working with the department has given me the ability to excel and progress my professional practice – preparing me for life in the wider photographic industry.

“These gigs also allow me to explore a different creative approach, experimenting with different techniques and methods to hone my style of photographic expression.”
