I studied Psychology at Oxford Brookes University at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels (obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and MRes in Developmental Psychology respectively). After completing my studies, I worked as a Research Assistant in the department on two projects examining the Psychology of Ultralow Carbon Vehicle Usage; the UK MINI E field trials (6-month field trials of the electric MINI) and the UK Technology Strategy Board (TSB) Ultralow Carbon Vehicle (ULCV) Demonstrator Programme (involving low-emission vehicles from eight consortia). I then went onto study for a PhD in this area. Specifically, my PhD focused on drivers’ perceptions of the limited range of the battery electric vehicle (BEV) and the influence this has on the management of the battery capacity. Shortly after completing my doctorate in September 2018, I joined the University of Northampton, initially as an Associate Lecturer before becoming a Lecturer in Psychology.
I am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
