Staff Profile

  • I began my academic career at Oxford Brookes University (OBU), where I completed my degree in Psychology and MRes in Developmental Psychology. I also undertook my PhD at OBU in the area of Social Psychology. I joined the Psychology Team at University of Northampton (UON) after finishing my PhD, first as an associate lecturer before becoming a lecturer in the department.

    I am a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society.

  • I teach on a range of UG and PG psychology modules primarily in the areas of Social and Developmental Psychology. I also supervise student dissertations at both UG and PG level.

    I am currently the Module Coordinator for the PG CAMH module, ‘Understanding Children and Young People’s Distress’.

  • I am primarily a qualitative researcher with a particular interest in the area of behavioural change. Recent research I have been involved in includes exploring drivers’ adaption to electric vehicle usage, Academic Advisers’ perceptions of supporting students with mental health needs, non-drinking students’ experience of university and raising awareness of prostrate cancer amongst black communities.

    I am a member of two research groups within the department: Qualitative Research in Identities & Communities (QRIC) and Health, Education & Behaviour Change (HEBC).
