Research Visiting student visa support letter request form

For you to visit the University of Northampton for your studies you will need to apply for a Visitor Visa. Our International Student Support Services (ISSS) team will be able to produce a VISA support letter for your VISA application.

More information, including how to apply and fees, is available on the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) website. ISSS can advise on the process and documents required. Their email address is: iss@northampton.ac.uk.

With the Standard Visitor visa, you can stay in the UK for up to six months but you are not allowed to work (paid or unpaid) at any time. You can apply for this visa up to three months before your date of travel to the UK.

Please complete all sections of this form. Visiting student visa support letters can only be issued a maximum of 3 months prior to your visit.

As part of completing this form you will be required to upload a copy of your valid passport photo and information page. Please make sure you have this information available prior to completing this form.
