Welcome to MSc Public Health

We are delighted to welcome you to the MSc Public Health programme at the University of Northampton. With an ever-expanding list of threats to human health, we are rising up to meet the emerging health threats of the present day, while training leaders who will be prepared to tackle both contemporary and unforeseen public health challenges.

This programme prepares students for public health leadership and equip them to assume an active role and responsibility for improving the population’s health in a range of settings. We place particular emphasis on advancing your critical awareness and problem-solving skills, to develop innovative and pro-active approaches that will meet the complex health needs of the population. All we want is for you to embrace all of the opportunities and support available to you;  be bold, think differently and realise your potential. We want your postgraduate journey with us to be intellectually stretching, rewarding and fun.

Supporting you before you arrive

  • Pre-Induction Meeting

    This meeting will provide you the opportunity to meet with the programme leader and receive answers to any questions you may have relating to your course and enrolment. The meeting will take place online, see link below.

    Welcome and Induction

    The welcome and induction sessions are designed to help you understand your programme and what is expected at MSc level study. You will have the opportunity of meeting the programme team, staff from the wider faculty and fellow students before your first teaching session.

    The first two sessions will be delivered online, see link to virtual classroom below. The last day (27 September 2024) will be on campus.
