Students’ Union

When you join the University, you automatically become a member of the Students’ Union, a vibrant and diverse community, bringing together your academic life and student-led activity. As a member, you’re entitled to all of the services and opportunities the Union offers, including sports, societies, volunteering, advice and representation.

We were the first Students’ Union to offer free sports and societies and are still one of only three in the country to do so. Getting involved is a wonderful way to enhance your learning experience, but if you can’t find the society you’re looking for, you can just start your own!

Just a short walk away from campus in the town centre, you’ll find Northampton’s nightlife, where we work with partners to offer a range of high-quality student nights, with the safety of our students of the utmost importance at all times.
