Gurjeevan Sandhu

International Tourism Management  BA (Hons) *

  • Year of graduation: 2021
  • Current job title: Passenger Service Agent
  • Current employer: Swissport

I chose to study International Tourism Management BA (Hons) at the University of Northampton as I enjoy travel and had studied the subject at college. I wanted to gain further understanding and knowledge of the course and after doing research about the variety of modules, I knew it was the perfect course for me.

Although university may seem scary, it’s not. Have fun, because you don’t realise how quickly the three years go by. If you ever find yourself stressed out, take a step back and breathe. My best advice would be to not be scared – reach out to your lecturers or any other supporting bodies, as they’re always there to support and guide you through.

One of the highlights of my time at UON is meeting some amazing people and gaining the knowledge that I’ll carry with me forever in my day-to-day life. After graduating in 2021, I’m now a Passenger Service Agent at Swissport. My experiences on the course have given me the proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and establish ongoing relationships.

*UON no longer offers International Tourism Management BA (Hons), but you can study tourism as part of the Hospitality Management BA (Hons) course.
