Engine Shed
The Engine Shed was originally built as a locomotive shed in the early 1870s. It was restored with Heritage Lottery funding and reopened in 2018 as part of the University of Northampton campus. The historic building is now home to the Northampton Students’ Union. Inside you’ll find a welcoming cafe, a comfortable space for student activities and meetings, and lots of interesting historic detail (including the original train tracks running through the building).
