A round up of recent mentions in the media of the University, our staff and students.

Kicking off coverage for UON this week was Suzanne Oliver, the University’s Heritage Partnerships and Projects Officer who was reported in the Northants Telegraph recruiting more practitioners for The Heritage Accelerator project.

Dr Ebenezer Laryea, Associate Professor in International Sustainable Development Law was in the news again as the international trade journal Eurofruit reported the findings of a roundtable event on the Fairmiles project which is examining airfreighted fruit.

Our Senior Lecturer in Inclusion & Special Educational Needs at UON, Korrin Smith-Whitehouse was on BBC Three Counties Radio last week talking about how she’s helping children understand their emotions.  Listen again at 37mins here.

Dr Claire Paterson-Young, Associate Professor from the Institute for Social Innovation and Impact was in the Northampton Chronicle and Echo commenting on her role within a flagship project which is attempting to make sure the use of artificial intelligence does not erode the effectiveness of, and trust in, the criminal justice system.

Professor in the History of Radicalism & Extremism, Paul Jackson was in the Daily Mail this week commenting on a story about a London socialite and photographer who became embroiled with far-right campaigner Tommy Robinson.

Masters student in Special Needs Education, Madame Orkhon Lkhamsuren, was the subject of a feature article in the South Asian society magazine Elite as she breaks down barriers and increases understanding of special needs education as the wife of the Mongolian Ambassador to Thailand.
