Associate Professor Dr Kimberley Hill achieves second Fellowship in one year

A University of Northampton (UON) Psychology academic’s continuing commitment to the highest level of excellence in teaching and research has received national recognition for the second time in a 12-month period.

Associate Professor Dr Kimberley Hill is now a Fellow of the renowned British Psychological Society (BPS), in recognition of her significant contribution to the advancement of psychological knowledge in the area of young people’s safety, health and wellbeing.

Being successfully elected as a Fellow of the BPS recognises an individual’s significant contribution to the advancement or communication of psychological knowledge or practice through research, teaching, publications, public service, or developing the work of others. The title is the highest designation the Society can bestow.

Of her BPS Fellowship, Dr Hill says: “It is wonderful to be elected as a Fellow of the Society in recognition of my 10+ years of advancing and disseminating psychological knowledge through Psychology teaching, research and impact. I remain continually committed to advancing and disseminating psychological knowledge, while increasing access and participation within Psychology education.”

Dr Hill’s National Teaching Fellowship was granted in 2023 in recognition of her work in transforming Higher Education policies and processes around student wellbeing, safety and gender-based violence.
