Date 7.10.2024

Young people showing entrepreneurial potential will be under the spotlight as the University of Northampton (UON) once again sponsors a category in the Northamptonshire Business Awards.

The annual awards are organised by the Northants Chamber of Commerce to recognise and celebrate the very best in local businesses.

This month the finalists were announced including the award for the Young Business Person of the Year which is being sponsored by the University.

Tiju Kodiyat, UON’s Head of Strategy and International Business helped announce the finalists and said: “We’ve just welcomed thousands of new students from around the UK and the world to study in Northampton who will one day be our business founders and leaders.

“The end of their studies might seem a long way off for them, so it is great to be able to show them early on what their hard work and determination can lead to. We wish all the finalists the very best of luck.”

Finalists for the Young Business Person of the Year are: Oliver Stacey from Artemis UK, Jamie Jackson from Iron Pit Woods Adventure, Richard Parkes from High Voltage Systems & Services, and Teegan Jones from Proaction Martial Arts.

The winners will be announced during a gala dinner and awards ceremony at Sywell Aerodrome on Friday 22 November.
