He gained his PGCE in 2009 and he has been a Fellow of the HEA since 2016.
His experimental personal work has often reflected an obsession with type and letterforms. Specialist interests are in the field of typography and typographic design, in particular the vernacular use of text. Reappraisals of vernacular typography as expressions of regional identities, and the ephemeral idiosyncrasies of speech and language are key areas of interest. He has curated several exhibitions of the Osborne Robinson Poster Collection which totals 20,000 artefacts and remains a key supporter of the archive which is held at The University of Northampton. His practice is currently switching focus to the intersection of graphic communication, architectural space and the transformation bought about by emerging, immersive digital technologies.
He continues to work as a practising graphic designer, working primarily on commercial typography-based projects, interior and exterior design and branding.
