Staff Profile

  • Peter Goy first studied Early Childhood Studies at the University of Northampton, attaining a first class degree. Peter went on to study and gain Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) also at the University of Northampton. Peter completed Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology at Staffordshire University in 2012 with merit. Peter is currently writing his thesis for his MA in Education which will be completed by May 2016.

    Peter joined the University of Northampton in 2013 as one of the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies teaching team in the School of Education. In 2015 Peter became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

  • Peter is programme leader for BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies (Top Up).

    Peter is module leader for and teaches on BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies EYS 2115 Children in Society (Part One): Inclusion and EYS 2116 Children in Society (Part Two): Diversity.

    Peter teaches on BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies modules EYS 1011 Children’s Development, EYS 1013 Children and the Law, EYS 2006 Children and their Learning (0-8), EYS 3125 Research Methods and EYS4104 Dissertation.

  • Peter’s current research involves recent changes to Children’s Centres for an MA thesis. Peter supervises the dissertations of eight BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies students and four BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies (Top Up) students.
