Northampton forges links with Korea following visit from Seoul Women’s University
Date 11.11.2015
11.11.2015The visit, which marks the start of a long term friendship and partnership between the two institutions, comes just four months after an Associate Dean from The University of Northampton visited the Women’s University in Korea earlier this year.
Dr David Jones, Associate Dean (academic & international development), The University of Northampton, who led the trip to Seoul in May, commented:
It was a real honour to welcome delegates from Seoul Women’s University to Northampton and we are delighted to announce that exciting links between the two Universities are already being lined up. We hope students from Seoul will come here to join the final year of BA programmes and stay on to complete Master’s level study. We are also planning a month long summer school for Korean undergraduates. There will be opportunities to send some of our students to Korea for an international summer school next year and we are hoping for staff research collaborations.
At The University of Northampton we are committed to educating our students to become global citizens, so it makes sense to expand our global contacts and links across the world with carefully chosen partners. Over the next few years we also plan to develop links with China, Japan and Malaysia.
