Date 30.06.2016
30.06.2016Film makers at the University of Northampton now have the opportunity to be part of a professional forum with the recent accreditation by the National Association of Higher Education in Moving Image (NAHEMI).
Students on the BA (Hons) Media Production and Moving Image programme will benefit from the membership due to the number of opportunities there are to enter awards, competitions and to attend conferences and share best practice with fellow students. NAHEMI also acts as a forum for debate on anything relating to teaching practice in the moving image sector, including the theory and history underpinning these practices. It also showcases a selection of students’ production at national festivals.
Daniel Oxer, Lecturer in Media Production, commented: “It’s great that our course and the University have been recognised by NAHEMI for our commitment to excellence and the high professional standards of operations through the lecturers. This excellence is achieved through an ongoing process of learning and teaching and our students are able to take advantage of this ongoing link to industry and be part of a professional forum, which is turn is a great benefit for their employability after they graduate.”
