Representing the University: the Grendon Hall Business Challenge
Date 12.11.2015
12.11.2015Four intrepid members of staff successfully tackled the Grendon Hall Business Challenge on Saturday 5 September as part of the Northamptonshire Workplace Challenge.
Julie Allen, Gemma Carr, Zanthe Riley and Ruth Sweeney, sporting fetching safety helmets and bright orange t-shirts, represented the University of Northampton in a series of activities, including a swamp challenge, abseil and leap of faith.
Activities were delivered by qualified instructors and were aimed at getting teams to work together, challenge themselves and encourage each other. Each team also received team t-shirts and their efforts were rewarded with a BBQ at the end.
Julie Allen, from Marketing, said: “It was a great day and very well organised. I decided to take part so I could challenge myself and meet different people and I definitely did that! The swamp challenge was great fun and we are proud to have only fallen in once. The leap of faith and abseil were the most challenging as the majority of our team had a fear of heights, but we did it!”
