The list features Alan Seymour, Senior Lecturer in Sports Marketing, PR and Brands, Kardi Somerfield, Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Advertising, and Michael Redwood, a visiting professor at the University. Both Michael and Alan have featured in the Top 100 before, but Kardi is a new entry for 2014.

Collated by Social Media Marketing Magazine, the list highlights professors who use Twitter to provide useful content and consistently engage with their followers. All three of the professors are enthusiastic Twitter users, with thousands of followers.

Kardi Somerfield explained: “Twitter is an incredibly important part of Marketing and Advertising, and the best vehicle at the moment for engaging with students and the wider community. For this reason I was really pleased to make it onto this list – it’s always great to get recognition from one’s peers.”

Alan Seymour encourages people to use the network to communicate: “Twitter simply delivers meaningful new audiences and new people to your business, academic and social networks. Don’t miss the opportunity”.
