Access and Participation Plans

Our Access and Participation Plan (APP) 2025/26 – 2028/29 sets out how we will:

  • Improve access for under-represented students
  • Support students’ success while studying with us to achieve their best
  • Improve progression into positive post-graduate destinations

Within our plan we have explained;

  • How we will support our targeted student cohorts to be as successful as possible
  • The financial contribution we will make to deliver our plan
  • How we are going to evaluate our intervention strategies
  • Our tuition fees for the courses we offer

We have had an approved Access and Participation Plan in place since 2006, to see all previous Access and Participation Plans can be accessed through the OfS website.

As a student you are covered by the plan which is in place at the time you start your studies, even if we introduce a new plan during the time you are studying with us.

Our current 2020/21 to 2024/25 Access and Participation Plan is available to download. We have also provided a three-page summary document of the full Access and Participation Plan which provides a quicker glance summary.

Our newest APP 2025/26 to 2028/29 Access and Participation Plan* is available for download and begins in August 2025. Currently our Access and Participation Plans are not accessible, however we are unable to change them as they were provided by the Office for Students. We list this on our accessibility statement and plan to correct this in the future in collaboration with the Office for Students.
* The 2025/26 annual tuition fee for undergraduate courses has not yet been confirmed by the Department for Education but is expected to be £9,535 for year one. UON will adjust fees annually in line with government policy
