Becky Bradshaw
Becky has worked in the higher education sector for over 20 years and became Chief Operating Officer at the University of Northampton in 2023 before being appointed as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Vice Chancellor in 2024. Becky led the operationalisation of the University of Northampton’s new and innovative Waterside Campus and most recently directed their strategic response to the Coronavirus pandemic. She is passionate about social impact and the influence of professional services on student outcomes, alongside sustainability and environmental improvement, and currently leads development of both the University’s Sustainability and Estates strategies.
Becky is an ardent advocate of equality, diversity and inclusion, was a founding member of the AUDE Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Development Group, shaping and influencing equality, diversity and inclusion in estate and facility workforces and campuses throughout the sector. She is the senior sponsor for the University’s staff led Women’s network, sits on the national Health and Safety Committee for the University and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA), Professional Development Group for AUDE, is an Independent Governor sitting on the Corporation at Northampton College, and has recently joined The Core at the Corby Cube as a trustee.
Becky has a strong track record of creating and leading purposeful, cross-institutional teams to deliver successful outcomes in system transformation, income diversification, strategy and business planning, capital project delivery, partnership collaboration, capital income generation, and service level transformation.
She has a background in health, safety and risk management, holding a Professional Diploma in Safety, Health and Environmental Management focused in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment from Nottingham Trent University and sits on several local regeneration boards, including the SEMLEP Waterside Enterprise Zone Board, and often contributes to sector wide working and advisory groups.
