Up for the Cup

National cup recycling campaign

“Up for The Cup” is an exciting recycling project aimed to kickstart and encourage paper cup recycling across Northampton. The scheme is made possible by ‘The Cup Fund’, a national initiative run by environmental charity Hubbub and made possible by the Starbucks 5p cup charge.

Social Impact is at the core of University of Northampton’s strategic plan which has driven the University to join forces with six other Northampton Official Partners to support the towns’ green credentials.

The project launched in January 2020 and has set a target of collecting and recycling as many as 160,000 cups across Northampton.

Emma Stone is the appointed project officer overseeing the campaigns delivery at the university.
