Description: The purpose of this module is to enable students to consolidate the learning that they have had in the previous levels regarding ?Occupational Therapy Skills for Practice?. This module will provide students the opportunity to focus on specific specialist clinical areas of personal professional interest. This module will develop students proficiency in the use of therapeutic actions, interventions and the use of occupation as a means and ends. This module prepares students to become qualified Occupational Therapists, developing their employability skills including preparation for job interviews in their chosen clinical area.

Description: Nurses will, by the end of the module, be able to use their assessment skills and knowledge to enable them to care for a patient who?s condition is deteriorating whilst in their care on a ward in an acute hospital. The module will cover a range of conditions that could lead to a patient deteriorating and needing more care. Learning and teaching activities will give the students the confidence to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care they give to a patient who is becoming unwell, as well as the ability to communicate concerns with other members of the team who are caring for the patient in a confident and effective manner.
