Overview
This 20 credit, Level 7 module promotes the effective development and use of several therapeutic approaches, interventions and skills with an emphasis on the development of the therapeutic relationship. Therapeutic approaches and interventions introduced on this module include:- CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness and Self-Care & Compassion. Students will have the opportunity to practice these skills, using scenarios, and reflect on their development whilst supporting the transference of skills to enhance professional practice.
