Anna has worked as a nurse since 2004, enjoying a varied career spanning from elderly medicine, general medicine, travelling to Australia to work in end of life care, ITU, gynaecology and aesthetic nursing. She has worked as a District Nurse for the last 8 years, enjoying mentoring student nurses throughout their nurse training in the practice environment.
Presently, working as senior lecturer in Adult pre-registration nursing since 2016, teaching on academic modules and leading the first-year practice module team. She qualified as a Mental Health First Aid instructor in 2018 and teaches this with the MHFA team to first year students.
Alongside this role she works as a nurse assessor at an NMC Competency Test Centre, assessing nurses who are qualified in other countries, wishing to work in the UK; a role which enables her to keep up to date with current practice.
