Staff Profile

  • David is a HCPC registered Occupational Psychologist and chartered through the British Psychological Society (BPS). He is both an academic and consultant and has his own limited company that does assessment and supervision on the Qualification in Occupational Psychology and also Hogan Assessments. David’s research interests are in non-traditional work (temporary employment/consulting/gig work) and artificial intelligence especially when used in assessment and selection.

  • David is the module co-ordinator for PSYM100 Individual differences. Hr also teaches on PSY1006 Becoming a Psychologist; PSY2015 Conceptual and Historical Issues in Psychology and PSY2014 Personality Psychology. The latter two modules are being merged into PSY2031 in 2021-22.

  • David’s research interests are in non-traditional work (temporary employment/consulting /gig work) and artificial intelligence especially when used in assessment and selection. David has published fairly widely both through my own work and also supervising PhD students. David has supervised 3 students to completion in terms of their PhD. He has supervision experience with DBA and taught doctorate students at the University of Gloucestershire (UoG) and more recently at Birkbeck. David has also examined PhD’s internally at UoG and externally at the University of Hull.
