Staff Profile

  • A musculoskeletal Physiotherapist by background, Hayley has extensive experience in systems leadership, complex stakeholder management and health and social care workforce strategy.

    Hayley joined the UON in 2021 to develop and deliver the MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) programme and is currently leading the development of new apprenticeship programmes to support the UON Learning and Teaching strategic priorities.

    Hayley is also a member of the practice education team and in this role is responsible for leadership and management of the Physiotherapy placement capacity strategy and co-responsible for clinical educator training and development.

  • Hayley’s focus as an educator is to collaborate with students, facilitating supportive environments where students can develop as active learners and critical reflective thinkers, not afraid to challenge for improvement.

    Hayley teaches across the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy programmes.

    Hayley is also a personal academic tutor and clinical visiting tutor.

  • Hayleys main areas of research interests are related to positive social impact and sustainable, effective, and high-quality person-centered health and social care.
