Lucy joined the University of Northampton in 2017 and teaches on both the PGCE and BA Initial Teacher Programme (ITT) courses in the FHES. She is the Programme leader for the PGCE programme and the Curriculum Lead for Professional studies. Lucy is also a lecturer on the mathematics team and is a personal academic tutor to several trainees on the programme.

Lucy’s research activities focus on the use of the mastery approach for mathematics and undergraduate perceptions of confidence and self-efficacy in mathematics. She is also interested in dyscalculia and the effects that this may have on self-concept in mathematics.
