Imogen Pope (Customer Service Assistant – Library, Learning and Student Services) asks if you’ve ever wanted to literally fight your demons?

Well, now you can!

Dungeons & Dragons is a game of pure fantasy, where you can be anyone and do anything. A staple of the TTRPG (that’s tabletop role-playing game, to the uninitiated) world, D&D has recently blossomed further into public consciousness than it ever has before, with more people picking it up and having a go playing a game.

But how can a game of make-believe help us to understand ourselves and improve our mental health?

In this talk, we’ll discover how playing the game creates space for players to improve their mental health, learn more about themselves, build incredible friendships, and fight a giant floating magic eyeball at the same time!
