    Student Story

“Studying abroad taught me a lot about myself and equipped me with life skills that I would not have gained if I studied at home. At Northampton, the small classes, where you as a student aren’t just a number in a sea of people and your lecturers know you, made me comfortable. It was an amazing, all-round educational experience in a warm, welcoming, fun place that has everything you need!”

“Due to the different scholarships that the University of Northampton provide – it’s a very good option. Not only because it’s near to London or because Northampton is a very nice place to study, but also because as The University is growing, it allows students grow in the same way.

The LLM that I took was very helpful for my personal life, my professional life, for my company, so I will encourage everyone to go ahead and study at Northampton university.”

“I picked the University of Northampton because it is one of the two universities that offer the programme of International Development. It is a great programme which I love. We were able to travel all the way to China and explore a completely different city that I’ve never even heard about before. We got to see how the city developed across the years.

The University of Northampton offers great facilities, one of which is the Changemaker Hub which allows students to develop their skills, that they struggle with. The other great facility is the uni library which has an online portal that allows us to search for the books online and also check their availability to rent out in physical format.

The University of Northampton has given me personally a set of skills which will set me apart from all the other graduates back home and it will therefore allow me to get a better job.”

MA Social Innovation student Oscar Gilberto Limon Mariscal sitting in a chair

“I decided to come to UON because this programme is a unique programme not offered in many parts of the world. Another factor was affordability, because this programme is not as expensive as in other parts of the world. I also saw that they offer the opportunity to get involved in the Changemaker Hub which can connect students to different initiatives and organisations that are working to try and tackle different social problems around the community.

My [university] experience so far has been amazing! The staff and the lecturers helped me adapt really easily because they provide me with all the information, and besides that having a multicultural environment is also helpful to feel confident that you are not the only foreigner studying here.

So, at the end this programme I think has helped me develop different skills and I am confident that when I come back to Mexico I will get a better job.”
