    Student Stories

“I chose UON because of the convenient location, the great new campus and the friendly people. The University is supportive. For example, the teachers are helpful – its easy to make appointments with them and get feedback.

I really like the library – it has a great, studious feeling. The cross cultural class discussions and exposure to different backgrounds will help me progress and is needed in the workplace. I’m encouraged to think critically and independently which has helped my confidence.

“The staff at the university were really helpful throughout my application process; I was lucky enough to have been offered an international scholarship which made coming to study in the UK much easier in terms of the financial planning to cover my tuition fees.

Outside of academic studies, join as many societies as you want. Northampton is one of just a few universities where you don’t have to pay membership fees to join sports and societies, this can help you make lots of new friends and try lots of new experiences. Student Story

“While I go to the university, I feel Northampton is a very quiet and safe city. Of course it is better to take action with your friends after late at night, but it is relatively safe. In addition, support for students from university is enriched, and changemaker hub etc. make a full-fledged business survey (when you want to start something new). One-on-one individual guidance outside the various classes is also substantial, so that classes are no longer delayed.”

“As Waterside campus is a facility just opened recently, which facilities (libraries, cafeteria, classrooms) are also beautiful and the laboratory is also very substantial. Also, the content of the lesson is not a traditional one, a large number of students for a teacher, but in a style that can participate actively in class with a small number of students, only by listening to lessons, after class There is a sense of fulfilment.”

“UON has smaller class sizes so the lecturers are able to give more one to one support. Compared to big cities, accommodation and livings costs are cheaper. You can use the money you save to cover the cost of travel and social activities. I always advise this – you might never get this opportunity again! Waterside’s facilities are very focused on high technology and there are lots of cafes and a rooftop bar– the Learning Hub is my favourite building as the library is open 24 hours and the environment is very peaceful.”

“I was offered scholarships from other UK universities but I chose UON because of the time and attention the Vietnam Regional Office and Faculty gave me during my application process – it made me feel less nervous about my choice. I chose to study MA Education Leadership and Management as it seemed to fit best with my future career path. I’m really enjoying it and it has enhanced my knowledge about leadership in general, as well as educational leadership. This is going to be very helpful when I apply for jobs. It has been an amazing and unforgettable UK experience.”
