A University of Northampton Graduate has launched a new Vietnamese Street Food Takeaway, Hanoi Corner, in the town centre.

Linh Phuong Pham, a graduate from the University’s Special Events Management MSC and Marketing Management programmes has launched business venture, a Vietnamese Street Food Takeaway, Hanoi Corner, with her partner.

Joining the University of Northampton from her home country of Vietnam in 2017 for her studies, Linh settled into life in Northampton and decided to make the town her permanent home, after she graduated in 2020.

Linh had always dreamed of starting her own business, and with the pandemic drastically impacting the events industry, Linh decided to launch the street food takeaway business, where she heads up the marketing and advertising for the business.

Nestled into the eclectic mix of shops, cafes and bars of Bridge Street, Hanoi Corner, offers tasty, fresh Vietnamese street food, including spring rolls, summer rolls, jasmine rice, rice vermicelli, and Vietnamese baguettes with spiced chicken, spiced beef, crispy pork, succulent prawns and tofu. All are made daily from fresh ingredients and original Vietnamese recipes.

Linh credits her University of Northampton with helping her shape the business’ brand and marketing plan. She said: “My Marketing degree gave me the excellent knowledge to create and implement a marketing plan for the business, as well as the skills I learnt around organisation, and business planning.”

You can order from Hanoi Corner by popping into the shop on 50b Bridge Street, via their social media and on the Just Eat app.
