Assem Chauhan awarded Honorary Doctorate

16.11.2015The University of Northampton is pleased to have awarded Aseem Chauhan with an Honorary Doctorate at this year’s Summer Graduation Ceremonies.
Assem is a Founding Trustee of the Amity Education Group and Additional President of the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (BREF) which is an umbrella body of Amity Universities and Institutions worldwide. He is the driving force behind the Amity Education Group, as well as the founder and CEO of Amity Innovation Incubator and Amity Capital Ventures, which has incubated more than 500 technology-based entrepreneurial ventures. Assem is an active promoter of youth entrepreneurship in India, and is particularly engaged in mentoring and investing in start-up companies.
Assem is a senior member of several government committees, including the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. His role has been particularly lauded by the Ministry of Small and Medium Scale Industry which has made him a key committee member of the Ministry. He has contributed to a number of other committees including the Government of India’s National Committee for Biotechnology Policy, the CII National Committee for Higher, Technical and Vocational Education and the US-India Higher Education Cooperation Council.
