Cobblers chairman to reveal the secrets of football’s deadline day

Date 10.10.2017

The chairman of Northampton Town Football Club will be lifting the lid on what it’s like to be in the thick of the action during transfer deadline day – on a University of Northampton radio show.

Kelvin Thomas will be talking about what goes on behind closed doors during the day, which this summer coincided with the Cobblers parting with former manager Justin Edinburgh.

The Town chairman is one of the guests on this Wednesday’s Open 4 Business show, hosted by Senior Lecturer Adrian Pryce, between 7pm and 9pm on Northampton community station NLive.

He’ll also discuss the new investment in the club by China’s 5U Sport and the changing world of football.

The University’s new £330m Waterside campus will also come under the spotlight, with the University’s Director of HR, Marketing & International Relations, Deborah Mattock, explaining how it will have a positive impact on the town, when it opens in September 2018.

Deborah will also talk about her love for the Cobblers, while Kelvin will pick some of his favourite songs.

You can listen to NLive in Northampton on 106.9FM, or worldwide via the website.
