Braintree Council is introducing a new garden waste bin charge, but some local councillors are upset about how it has been announced. Senior Lecturer in Journalism Kate Ironside spoke to BBC Radio Essex about the rules around what can and can’t be said in the run up to elections. Listen again (starts at 3hrs and 20mins).

The BBC was top of the news agenda following allegations that a senior presenter paid a teenager for explicit photos. Kate Ironside gave her opinion on how the corporation is handling its latest crisis with BBC Radio Ulster’s William Crawley. Listen again (starts at 4mins).

Fashion student Amalia-Adela Samoila has won the prestigious Worshipful Company of Glovers of London design competition, as reported by the Chronicle and Echo.

The University’s first parkrun featured in the Chronicle and Echo.

Last week saw the launch of Threads, a new social media platform touted as a rival to Twitter. Senior Lecturer in Psychology Dr Charlotte Dann joined a panel on BBC Radio Northampton talking about its positives and negatives. Listen again (starts at 13mins).
