A round up of recent media coverage about the University, our graduates, staff and students.

Senior Lecturer in Journalism Kate Ironside discussed her views and what the recent US Presidential Election means for the UK with various radio stations such as Heart FM, BBC Northamptonshire and BBC Radio Three Counties. Listen again to her Three Counties interview (2hrs and 26mins).

Soe of Kate’s students stayed up all night along with their peers from the University of Richmond, in the US state of Virginia, for their own live election coverage, as reported by BBC Online Northamptonshire.

The University held a commemorative event to remember military personnel who gave their lives in service for their country. Chaplain Reverend Dr. Stuart Mousir-Harrison spoke to Heart FM about the significance of the event (listen again links not available) and ITV Anglia News.

BBC Radio Northamptonshire presenter Annabel Amos took part in a swimming challenge and keeping track of how many lengths she did was UON Multimedia Sports Journalism student Andy Durrant. Listen again (starts at 27mins in).

The first arts, heritage and history ‘mixer’ event was held last week. The Cultural Cuppa included inspiration talks and the chance to meet with and discuss possible heritage projects with likeminded people, as reported by the Northants Telegraph.
