We’ve had another tumultuous week in politics, meaning Senior Lecturer in Journalism and former Westminster correspondent Kate Ironside was in demand.
She spoke to ITV Anglia News about Nadine Dorries stepping down as an MP and wrapped up Monday morning’s main headlines on BBC 5 Live (starts at 23mins).
Kate also gave her analysis to BBC 3 Counties about the three MPs (Dorries, Boris Johnson and Nigel Adams) all quitting (starts at 1hr 12mins), and also to BBC Radio Leicester on the convulsions the Conservative Party are facing (clip expired).
The University’s Heritage Projects and Partnerships Officer Suzanne Oliver is looking for people who are ‘in the know’ about Corby. This is part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund-backed Heritage Impact Accelerator project and is reported in the Northamptonshire Telegraph.

Hayley Masters has worked at Northampton General Hospital for 24 years ago as a hospital cleaner. She’s now a skin cancer specialist who graduated last month with a degree in Enhancing Healthcare Practice from the University. Her inspiring story is reported by the Chronicle and Echo.
