The University of Northampton’s commitment to providing the best learning environment and support for its students received national recognition.

The Learning Development (LD) team works with students to enhance and foster independence in academic, study and maths and statistical skills. They do this by providing study guides, videos and online resources, delivering tutorials, workshops and through Learning Development Mentors who offer peer support.

Last week, the Learning Development team was awarded the LD Team of the Year Award by the Association for Learning Development in Higher Education (ALDinHE) at their annual conference in Glasgow.

The Team of the Year trophy was awarded to UON’s LD team for their collaboration with others, innovative work practices and outcome and reach of projects. In addition to the contributions members of the team make to the ALDinHE community.

Sheryl Mansfield, Head of Learning Development says: “Our journey has been one of continuous growth, collaboration and a shared passion for learning and acknowledges the countless hours of work from staff past and present contributing to the success of the team.”
