OhBoy! Band’s new single is a University of Northampton affair

Date 2.12.2016

The new single from one of the UK’s hottest up-and-coming bands is very much a University of Northampton affair.

Northampton quintet OhBoy!, who include graduates Jay Brook and Meg Amirghiasvand, released Dirt on Friday.

The accompanying video was produced by University technician, Tim Halliday, part-filmed on location at Avenue Campus and stars academic Alex Taylor in the lead role – a brow-beaten elephant who lets off steam singing karaoke in his local watering hole.

The song was also co-engineered by Popular Music graduate Joe Carter.

The release of Dirt comes hot on the heels of OhBoy!’s previous single, Hey Princess, which was the first of the band’s to be released in America, by subsidiary of music giant Atlantic Records, Canvasback Music.
