Santander campus branch celebrates birthday upgrade

Branch Manager Kirsten Allen said: “It has been a fantastic first year on campus and following feedback we were delighted to have been able to extend our facilities in time for the new academic year.”

Professor Nick Petford said: “The Santander Branch is an integral part of our campus community for both staff and students and the upgrade has been extremely well received. But our relationship with Santander goes far beyond the bricks and mortar of our branch building.

Since 2009, Santander has been supporting our staff and students in many other ways. Annual scholarships for international masters’ students have made a huge difference and our academic staff have also benefitted from significant research grants.

Luis Juste, Director of Santander Universities UK, added: “We share the same values and ethics relating to entrepreneurship as the University and look forward to working even more closely in the future on more areas of mutual collaboration. Through current grants we are very pleased to be able to help students and staff follow their dreams.”

Staff and students were present at a reception at the Sunley Conference Centre on campus following the official opening of the new branch cash counter.
