Specialist sports media partnership launched

12.11.2015The relationship will give BA Sports Marketing students a unique insight into the working practises of an international media company as well as providing practical experience through opportunities to join a structured internship programme at Final Third.
Chris Rivett, Managing Director at Final Third Sports Media said: “We are delighted to have established a strong partnership with a proactive University who realise the benefits in working closely with the local business community.
“We are fortunate that we have such an opportunity right on our doorstep and we look forward to sharing our experiences and knowledge in order to assist the students with their learning.”
Chris Rivett will be involved in giving regular lectures and question and answer sessions for the BA Sports Marketing students, drawing on his experiences at Final Third and his time as website editor at Northampton Town Football Club and media manager for Luton Town Football Club.

Alan Seymour, Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Entrepreneurship and Course Leader in Sports Marketing said: “This partnership will give our students the opportunity to be involved with a growing player in sports marketing communications.
“The association will be developed collectively and a number of collaborative projects with students and Final Third are planned; it’s great for Sports Marketing at the University.”
