UN to support the Head to Toe fashion conference

​The University of Northampton is pleased to be sponsoring the Head to Toe conference, which is focusing on leather fashion, footwear and accessories and hosted by the Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry (ASBCI).

Taking place on Wednesday 4 November at the Northampton Marriott Hotel, this one-day conference will feature an esteemed line up of industry professionals and specialists from the leather industry, covering all aspects of leather products.

Professor Nick Petford, Vice Chancellor at the University of Northampton will open the event and speakers include John Saunders, Chairman of the British Footwear Association, Amanda Michel from Leather Wise, Laura West from the Society of Shoe Fitters, Danielle Needham from Matalan and Jonathan Church from Cheaney.

Dr Julie King, Head of Fashion at the University of Northampton and the Events Director for ASBCI will be chairing the conference. She commented: “Naturally Northampton was the first choice for this conference given its tremendous heritage for footwear and the leather industry, and the University of Northampton is proud to be sponsoring the event with our own heritage of footwear and leather.”
