University lecturer presents her PhD paper at an international conference in Ohio

Congratulations to Jasmine Shadrack, Lecturer in Popular Music at the University of Northampton, who won an internal funding bid to present a paper taken from her PhD study at an international conference in Ohio.

The Metal and Cultural Impact Conference was held at the University of Dayton in November and Jasmine’s paper focused on her PhD research entitled ‘Femme-Liminale: Corporeal Performativity in Death Metal’.

Jasmine commented: “It was an honour to win the funding bid and join brilliant metal scholars from all over the world at my first international conference.”
