UON aims to drive business growth and innovation in Northamptonshire
Date 6.03.2023
6.03.2023University of Northampton (UON) is taking to the road to showcase how businesses across Northamptonshire can find out about Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs).
UON’s Business Support Team will be visiting various business locations in the county from the 7th to 9th of March as part of a national roadshow. Businesses will be able to find out more about the benefits of a KTP and how to apply.
KTPs aim to help businesses improve their competitiveness and productivity through knowledge, technology, and skills. They offer an opportunity to collaborate with an expert academic team from UON, as well as a talented graduate or postgraduate to support the delivery of a particular business initiative. Up to 75% of the costs can be funded depending on the size and type of business.
The three-day Brewing Innovation Roadshow tour starts on Tuesday 7 March and will visit the following areas:
- Tuesday 7 March – Silverstone Business Park
- Wednesday 8 March – Northamptonshire Business Exhibition at Kettering Park Hotel
- Thursday 9 March – Brackmill’s Industrial Estate.
Free coffee, tea and other refreshments – provided by local, mobile barista service Nuts for Your Coffee – will be given to businesses who visit the team during the roadshow that is funded by Innovate UK*.
Helen Miller, Assistant Director of Employability and Enterprise (pictured), said: “We’re excited to visit businesses in the county. KTPs are a great asset but many businesses don’t know they exist or the benefits they bring. Our roadshow events will cover everything you need to know about KTPs, including how to apply for them. We all want to support our county’s businesses and encourage those who want to talk to us to come along and meet us next week.”
