This element has a 50% weighting and replaces the REF2021 outputs element.

Research outputs:

• 2.5 x volume measure (taken from 2 years HESA data).
• Contributes to up to 90% of CKU (Contribution to Knowledge & Understanding) score.
• Criteria of originality, significance and rigour.
• Open access requirements – as per REF2021 until after consultation in winter 2024.

Disciplinary-level statement:

• Contributes to at least 10% of CKU score.
• Contribution of unit to disciplinary advancement beyond publication of outputs.
• Research integrity and reproducibility.
• Open research practices.
