Welcome, Induction and Arrival

Welcome, Induction, and Arrival will give you the opportunity to settle into university, plus make new friends and feel like a member of our community. You will feel well prepared to begin studying and know that University staff are here to help and support you.

Welcome Activities

Starting at UON

During the first few weeks, we will give you the very best start and provide you with the opportunity:

  • to get to know other students including those in your tutor group.
  • to help you to become familiar with the academic study expectation on your programme.
  • to learn about working, living and socialising together as a member of the University of Northampton community.
  • to help to find your way around the Waterside Campus.

We will also provide you with an individual session with your Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) and timetabled academic orientation activity.

The Students’ Union work in close partnership with the University of Northampton, including sessions which they run alongside Welcome and Induction.

14 – 15 September 2024

We are looking forward to seeing students who are enrolling in September 2024.

Please book an enrolment slot at least two days before you intend to arrive at the university.
