Health and Social Care Practice BA Welcome Pack
Welcome to the BA (Hons) in Health and Social Care Practice 2024
Welcome to the BA Health and Social Care Practice which is a 3 years (full time) undergraduate course. You will be involved with issues from a global aspect where you will explore, for example, different cultures, ways of working, types of services and organisations that impact on individuals, communities and the wider society. The first year is about understanding self and what is happening currently in the world, the second year you will have an opportunity to develop practical skills, and the final year preparing for the world of work. Therefore, we are looking forward to supporting you to learn, develop and become agents of change and in return we want you to be open-minded, committed and willing to demonstrate that you have the values and qualities to work in this exciting sector.
We appreciate that studying is only one part of your life and there will be times when you have everything under control and other times when life is challenging. As you get to know the teaching team and your personal tutor, we hope that you will use the various services to help you on your academic journey.
You may have a range of emotions as you prepare for a new chapter in your life, meeting new people, being in a different environment and having a different routine. The changes will, we hope result in you making new friends, loving the campus as well as graduating after completing your degree.
