Quiet spaces

Finding something at a quieter or slower pace in Northampton is easy, with history sites, parks, and more.

Quiet spots in Northampton

Take a break

One of our favourite independent coffee shops to grab a quiet moment in is Yellow Bourbon Coffee, but there are plenty of cosy coffee shops around Northampton that are perfect for a quiet cuppa.

Perfect parks

Chill out by the marina in Becket’s Park or hire a bike and cycle to Abington Park for an afternoon in the sun.

Getting historical

Northampton has loads of historical hidden gems, our favourite is 78 Derngate – it’s not just a house, it’s a work of art!

Delapre Abbey is just around the corner, they host seasonal events and make a great afternoon tea. After big restorations, the house recently opened up to visitors. Did you know that the York and Lancaster armies met on the fields during the War of the Roses?
