Economics, Politics, and International Relations

Whether you’re interested in the historical world or the contemporary world, we have courses that will suit your interests.

BA Politics and International Relations explores contemporary issues such as threats to global security, the changing nature of international co-operation and power alignments, environmental politics, the future of democracy, and the politics of communication. International study trips are available on our Politics and International Relations programme.

With an economics degree, you will learn to employ different perspectives of the major economic thinkers of the last two centuries to discuss issues that are faced by individuals, companies and governments. We are the first modern university in England to introduce CORE as part of our Economics courses, which provides you with a global community of teachers and learners, provides you with tools and knowledge of recent developments, and allows you to learn about the subject in an interactive and problem-motivated approach.
