Students’ Union

When you enrol at the University, you will automatically become a member of the Students’ Union, a diverse and passionate community who bring together your study life and social life. All members are entitled to a variety of services and opportunities that are offered through the Union, including sports clubs and societies, volunteering, advice, representation and the chance to vote for student-led sabbatical officers.

The University of Northampton Student’s Union was the first to offer free sports clubs and societies to all students, it is still only one of three in the country to do so. There are a variety of student-run societies however if you are unable to find one which interests you, then you can start your own!

There are frequent Students’ Union events that take place across the campus and with our partners in Northampton town centre, for up-to-date information about student events you can look at the Student’s Union website or social media pages.
